Lessons To My Imaginary Child

I wonder sometimes: if I had a child, what would I want her to learn, what wisdom would I want to share? It’s taken me half a lifetime to learn to truly appreciate the intangible moments, those which can’t be put into numbers or measured – a call to a loved one, an engaging conversation, a smile, a hug…I would teach my child that those memories are what makes life beautiful and not to waste her youth diminishing their value.
